Enchantment by Ruche

Oh Ruche...

How I will
always love you.

And your new

Happy Leap Day!

What are you going to do
with your extra day?

I have tons of catch up work to do,
but I do get to work from home.

So while I'm finishing up paperwork,
organizing an Easter Party,
and planning an upcoming
jewelry party...

I at least can relax
in my home.

Loving this
handmade jewelry
by Padgett Hoke

Semi-Homemade Doughnuts

So, I had a tiny doughnut craving
yesterday morning.

So I decided
to make some...

as quickly as possible.

Semi-Homemade Doughnuts

1 can of biscuit dough (yep, any kind but the flaky kind)
vegetable oil, for frying
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon

1. Heat vegetable oil in a fry pan until about 350 degrees.

2. While oil in heating, punch or cut round holes into biscuit dough.

3. Fry each until golden brown and done in the center, a few minutes on each side.

4. Let cool on a cookie rack for a few minutes.

5. While doughnuts are cooling, combine cinnamon and sugar in a shallow dish. Then melt the butter in another shallow dish.

6. Take each doughnut, dunk each side of it in the melted butter, then coat it in the cinnamon sugar.

7. Let dry on the cooling rack again for a few minutes.

8. Lastly, try not to eat every single one of them!

Vintage Market

Boy, is it snowing outside.

Spring is definitely still far away
for us here in Montana.

But even though we had a fresh dusting
of snow on the ground,
and it's been snowing steady
ever since...

I woke up, got dressed, and ventured out
to go to a Vintage Market!

I came away with the most lovely broach
and glass antique milk bottle!

Kate Spade...New Arrivals!

Gorgonzola Cream Sauce

Do you see that delicious, creamy sauce
poured over my dinner last night?

Yeah, that's called amazing-ness.

Pure amazing-ness.

Gorgonzola Cream Sauce
Adapted from Rachael Ray

2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tbsp flour
1 cup chicken stock
1 cup cream
5 ounces Gorgonzola, crumbled
pinch of ground sage
Freshly ground black pepper

1. Melt butter in a large sauce pot with the garlic. Cook 2 minutes.

2. Whisk in flour, cook 1 minute.

3. Whisk in chicken stock then cream, let warm for a minute.

4. Stir in Gorgonzola, stir for about 2 minutes until melted.

5. Stir in sage and a little cracked pepper and cook 3 minutes more. Until nice and creamy.

6. Pour over your favorite pasta or use it as a steak sauce. Swoon.

Madewell Swims

not even close.

But I couldn't resist
posting these lovely suits

Steam-punk Wedding #2

Maybe it's a trend now?

But I really do love
Steam-punk styled
weddings.

And this bride
wore black!

100 Cupcakes

I had the honor to bake
about 100 cupcakes the other night!

Chocolate Banana
Vanilla Bean

I used a basic Chocolate Cupcake base recipe
but switched up the frosting!

Here is my "to die for" Vanilla Bean Frosting...

Vanilla Bean Frosting

1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups powder sugar
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 vanilla bean, split down the center and seeds scraped out
pinch of salt

1. In an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar together.
2. Add the heavy cream, seeds of the vanilla bean, and the pinch of salt.
3. Beat until perfectly creamy and smooth.

Geronimo

Have you heard of Geronimo?

Geronimo is only the most fabulous
"Balloon-Trooping" around!

Created by Jihan Zencirli
and based out of Los Angeles.

The websites describes her as such:

"her spherical interests can be seen
as an explosion and visual feast of fine ribbon,
vintage millinery and hand cut paper fancy
created exclusively and originally
for every order"

I just love it all!

Modest Peach

I stumbled upon
another fabulous shop.

They have some of the
most beautiful items for sale.

Goblets of the Rainbow

When my grandmother passed away
I inherited the most lovely
Amber Goblets
that use to belong to her.

They are one of the
most treasured things I own.

One day,
I would love to have
an array of colors like this...
